February 2024 was a month filled with inspiration and impact as RISE TOGETHER embarked on our mission to uplift youth voices and address critical issues head-on. Let’s take a closer look at the journey we embarked on, starting in Marquette County, then rocking the Youth In Action Summit in Wisconsin Dells for Juneau County, and ending the month in Green Lake County.

The Youth In Action Summit, WI Dells (2.15.24): Midway through the month, we took our message to the next level at The Youth In Action Summit in Wisconsin Dells, where we joined forces with youth from Juneau, Adams, Saux, and a few other counties. Together, we delved into crucial topics, shared stories, and encouraged each other to be agents of change in our communities.

Green Lake County, WI (2.20.24): We wrapped up our tour with a triumphant visit to Green Lake County, where we engaged students in meaningful discussions at four middle schools. Berlin, Princeton, Markesan, and Green Lake students embraced the #NoShame Pledge and showed the world that their voices matter.

A heartfelt thank you to the Marquette, Juneau, and Green Lake County health departments for their unwavering support in bringing our message to these communities.

But our impact continued beyond the stage. We left behind a wealth of resources – including SAFE’s no-shame education program, our writing prompts, and a 21-day health challenge – to keep the conversation going long after we were gone. And to the parents and community members who joined us in the evenings to learn and support our youth, we couldn’t have done it without you.

As we reflect on the incredible journey of February, we are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to uplift and support our youth. Our journey of advocacy and education continues, and we can’t wait to see where it takes us next.
