• STREET ART by @Metul_Eattr in honor of RISE’s mission.
• MUSIC by local punk band Crucial Moves, Jammin’ With JD featuring Cutter from WAPL, and singer-songwriter Franki Moscato.
• STORYTELLING by local advocates and change makers like TEDx speaker and RISE’s executive director, Nadine Machkovech.
• SPOKEN WORD by nationally recognized Joseph Green of LMS Voice and local poet Alex Schotten of Lifted Poets Society.
• AWARD CEREMONY to honor the remarkable contributions of those who helped make this all possible over the past decade.
• Proclamation by Mayor Jake Woodford marking September 12th as RISE TOGETHER day in Appleton in honor of youth prevention.

Empowering the Next Generation

Our work primarily revolves around empowering middle schools and high schools throughout Wisconsin. It only makes sense to extend a special invitation to our local students and past graduates in the Fox Valley and beyond!

Join us as we commemorate a decade of making a meaningful difference. This celebration is a tribute to the collective efforts of students, educators, and communities in shattering stigmas, raising awareness, and fostering a stigma-free future.

This celebration coincides with September’s National Recovery Month, symbolizing hope and support as downtown Appleton lights up with beautiful purple lights. Purple, the color of recovery, represents courage and resilience in the face of mental health and substance use challenges.

National Recovery Month emphasizes prevention, treatment, and support for individuals and families affected by these issues. Together, we’re celebrating a decade of impact, breaking down stigmas, and empowering youth. Join us as we rise together, illuminating the path of hope and recovery and creating a stigma-free future where empathy and acceptance prevail.
